All Skins in Elden Ring: How to Unlock Them

Introduction Of Elden Ring

In Elden Ring: Nightreign, the stakes are high, the enemies massive, and the path to victory paved with brutal boss fights and intricate strategies. But let’s be real—half the fun of braving this nightmarish world is doing it in style. That’s where character skins, known in-game as garbs, come into play.

These cosmetic unlocks let you customize your hero’s appearance, adding flair to your dungeon dives and boss battles. But they’re not just handed out—you’ll have to earn them. Here’s everything you need to know about unlocking every skin in Elden Ring: Nightreign.

How to Unlock Skins (Garbs)

Before you start swapping outfits, you’ll need to prove your mettle. Skins only become available after completing two full expeditions. Until then, you’re rocking the default look, no matter how tough the fights get. Hang in there—it’s worth the grind.

Once skins are unlocked, you can change them anytime via the mirror in Roundtable Hold or by selecting “Change Garb” in the menu to fast-travel straight there.

Dawn and Darkness Skins

After your first two expeditions, you’ll unlock two basic garbs for each character:

  • Dawn Garb – A lighter, radiant theme
  • Darkness Garb – A moodier, more ominous look

These skins set the tone, but they’re just the beginning.

Post-Final Boss Skins

Beat the Night Lord, the game’s final boss, and the real fun begins. Once that’s done, you’ll unlock the ability to purchase two more skins per character. These are usually subtle (or not-so-subtle) nods to iconic characters from Dark Souls, Bloodborne, and Sekiro. Veteran fans will spot the Easter eggs.

Murk Currency: Your Fashion Budget

Most skins can be bought using Murk, the game’s special currency. You can earn Murk by:

  • Finishing expeditions
  • Selling relics and rare loot

Heads-up though—skins don’t come cheap. Murk takes time to accumulate, so prioritize the looks that really resonate with you.

Remembrance Skins (Free but Hard-Earned)

Not all garbs are bought. Each character has a Remembrance questline—a deep, lore-rich side story you can start (or delay) from the Journal in Roundtable Hold. Finish the full arc, and you’ll be rewarded with a unique Remembrance Skin, no Murk required.

These skins often tie closely to a character’s story, offering some of the most satisfying rewards in the game—both visually and emotionally.

All Skins Currently Available

Here’s a complete list of skins currently available in Elden Ring: Nightreign. More are likely to arrive in future DLCs or patches, so keep an eye out.

Wylder Skins:

  • Default – The starting look.
  • Dawn – Light-toned variant unlocked early.
  • Darkness – Darker-toned variant unlocked early.
  • Remembrance – Unlocked via Wylder’s questline.
  • Abysswalker – Unlocked after final boss; inspired by past FromSoftware characters.
  • Lion Knight – Another post-game unlock with stylish, regal vibes.

Note: Each character has their own set of garbs following a similar structure to Wylder’s lineup.

Final Thoughts

Earning every skin in Elden Ring: Nightreign is a grind—but one that makes the victories feel even sweeter. Whether you’re rocking a mysterious cloak straight out of Bloodborne or a golden armor set that screams “final boss energy,” each garb adds flavor to your journey.

So battle on, Tarnished. The Night Lord won’t know what hit him—and you’ll look amazing doing it.
