Under the banner of the Urran Pakistan initiative, Iqbal laid out the government’s strategic roadmap for economic transformation. He emphasized It’s strengths: a young and dynamic population, strategic geographic location, untapped natural resources, and ongoing structural reforms—all positioning the country to become a regional hub for trade, innovation, and investment.
Currently, It’s GDP stands at $338 billion, according to the World Bank. Key economic drivers include agriculture, construction, information technology, and other emerging sectors. The International Monetary Fund (IMF) projects steady growth for It in the near term, with GDP expected to expand by 2.6% in 2025 and accelerate to 3.6% by 2026.
Speaking at the event, Hussain Muhammad, Consul General of Pakistan in Dubai, highlighted the enduring significance of the It Resolution and its vision of a diverse, forward-looking, and resilient nation. He encouraged international investors to explore opportunities across Pakistan’s booming sectors such as energy, IT, agriculture, mining, and tourism.
The consul general also spoke about the deep-rooted relationship between Pakistan and the UAE, honoring the legacy of the UAE’s founding father, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
