The much-anticipated A-Level exam results have been announced in the UAE, marking a momentous occasion for students, educators, and families alike. With a notable 26% of exam entries achieving A* to A grades and 52% securing A* to B grades, this year’s results are a testament to the dedication and perseverance of all involved.

GEMS Education Sets a New Record

GEMS Education, one of the largest education providers in the region, was the first to announce its results, celebrating a new milestone in its 65-year history. A total of 1,883 students from 22 GEMS schools in the UAE and Qatar completed 5,191 A-level exams, the highest number ever recorded by the group. This year also saw GEMS Founders School – Al Mizhar and GEMS New Millennium School proudly celebrate their inaugural A-Level cohorts.

Dr. Saima Rana, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of GEMS Education, expressed her admiration for the students’ achievements, stating, “Today, we wholeheartedly celebrate our students, whose remarkable achievements with these impressive A-level results have left us in awe… We are excited to see now how they will continue to shine and shape a brighter future for all.”

Collective Effort Behind the Success

The outstanding results reflect the collective hard work of students, educators, and families. Glen Radojkovich, Director of Education at Taaleem-Dubai, extended his heartfelt thanks to the dedicated educators and supportive families, emphasizing that their unwavering commitment has been key to the students’ success.

He added, “It is a proud moment to see our students secure places at some of the UK’s top universities. As they embark on the next chapter, I am confident they carry with them both exceptional academic foundations and value-based education.”

At Jebel Ali School, this year’s A-Level results showcased remarkable growth, with 62 students taking 201 A-Levels, a significant increase from the previous year’s 42. Stellar performances included those of Azaan Yaqub, Ben Massingham, and Mia Storey, among others. Massingham, the head boy and one of the school’s top achievers, shared his excitement about pursuing flight training in the UK, with the ultimate goal of joining British Airways as a First Officer by 2026.

Brighton Colleges Excel

The three Brighton Colleges in the UAE once again delivered outstanding results, with over 50% of grades awarded A* to A across all three campuses. Brighton College Al Ain stood out, with 50% of its students offered places to study medicine at universities worldwide. The success of female students was particularly noteworthy, with 73% receiving offers to study STEM subjects, including 53% for medicine.

Students like Lucy Evans, who achieved A* A* A in Mathematics, Physics, and History, are set to pursue Aerospace Engineering at the University of Nottingham in the UK, while others like Adrika Lal and Hannah AlBalushi will study Medicine in the UAE and UK, respectively.

Securing Spots at Top Universities

Brighton College Abu Dhabi also performed exceptionally well, with students holding over 80 offers from Russell Group Universities and other prestigious institutions worldwide, including Columbia, Stanford, and the University of Toronto. Brighton College Dubai saw 70% of its students achieve at least one A* to A grade, with many securing their first-choice university spots.

Simon Crane, Head Master of Brighton College Dubai, praised the students’ achievements, noting that their outstanding A*/A performance of 47% surpassed last year’s excellent results.

Repton Schools Shine

Repton Abu Dhabi and Repton Dubai also reported remarkable A-Level results. Repton Abu Dhabi celebrated 39% of its exam entries achieving A* to A grades, with students receiving acceptance offers from prestigious universities such as New York University and the University of Edinburgh. Meanwhile, Repton Dubai’s A-Level students achieved A* to C grades for 68% of their exam entries, with top achievers securing spots at universities like Durham, Bristol, and King’s College London.

Steven Lupton, Principal of Repton Abu Dhabi, expressed confidence in the graduates’ future successes, while Gillian Hammond, Principal of Repton School Dubai, shared her pride in the students’ accomplishments.

As these young achievers prepare to embark on the next chapter of their academic journeys, their impressive results underscore the UAE’s commitment to fostering educational excellence and nurturing future leaders.
