The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) has also announced revised working hours for public sector employees. During Ramadan, government employees will work from:
- Monday to Thursday: 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM
- Friday: 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM

According to the UAE’s International Astronomy Centre (IAC), Ramadan is expected to begin on Saturday, March 1, 2025, as the crescent moon will be visible the night before. However, the official start date will be confirmed by the moon-sighting committee on February 28, 2025.
Islamic months follow a lunar calendar and last either 29 or 30 days, depending on the sighting of the crescent moon. Once It is officially declared, Muslims worldwide will begin their month-long fast from dawn to sunset, engaging in spiritual reflection and charitable acts.
